Built in 1965, Merseyway was one of the first ever shopping centres to be built in the UK.

In 1995, it underwent an extensive multi-million pound refurbishment which embraced the old and new styles of architecture.

Today it remains one of the UK’s most successful shopping destinations, which welcomes over 14 million visitors a year. In the last ten years, visitors to the centre has increased by 33%; illustrating just how popular the centre is within the affluent South Manchester and North Cheshire catchment.

Its unique combination of covered malls and external areas sets it apart from other traditional shopping centres in the region. As well as an attractive vibrant retail offer; this distinctive shopping environment is extremely popular with film companies, street festivals and performances events.
