Merseyway goes back to the shopfloor for The Meningitis Trust
Christmas Eve is one of the most important days for retailers annually and one of the worst to be working when you really want to be at home with your family.

This year managers at Merseyway Shopping Centre are supported its retailers by doing all the tedious shopfloor jobs and raising cash for charity at the same time. Richard Paxton, centre director at Merseyway helping shoppers was on the groundfloor in Debenhams; whilst marketing manager, Melissa Wells was in Monsoon helping the store prepare for its sale on Boxing Day. Graduate surveyors, Tom Prescott and Nicola Harrington from Donaldson’s Manchester office worked in JD Sports and BHS. |
Stores and Merseyway staff sponsored the team to go back to the shop floor in aid of The Meningitis Trust. Donaldson’s PM manages over 100 shopping centres in the UK and around 50 centre managers took part in the initiative, which was led by Richard Paxton and David Jackson (centre director: The Lanes in Carlisle).
Centre director Richard Paxton commented:
“As a management team we really pride ourselves on being retail focused, and what better thing to do at this time of year is to support our stores as well as raise some money for The Meningitis Trust.” |
