Merseyway Shopping Centre has biggest day since records began
82,500 shoppers visited Merseyway Shopping Centre on Friday 22 December which has set an all time record for the centre. The same day in 2005, saw 73,500 shoppers visit the centre which shows a 3.6% increase.
Christmas week was also a record week with just under half a million people shopping at Merseyway, 12% more than last year.
Boxing Day sales also proved popular with 32,000 people chasing bargains; a 7.3% increase on Boxing Day last year.
