Share your hopes and dreams for 2021 at The Merseyway Wishing Tree
With brighter days ahead Merseyway shopping centre has launched its very own Wishing Tree.
Taking inspiration from traditional wishing trees across the world, the Merseyway Wishing Tree is a place for the local community to share their hopes and dreams for 2021, no matter how big or small.
Located in the undercover mall, wishes are being hung on colourful tags on the Wishing Tree and Merseyway is encouraging shoppers, local community groups, charities and schools to take part.
Wishing Tree tags are available at the new One Stockport Hub at the centre and wishes can also be submitted virtually via the centre’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/MerseywayShoppingCentre.
Victoria Nichol, Merseyway Centre Manager, said: “It’s been an incredibly difficult 12 months and now we’re fully open again we wanted to create something really visual at the centre which demonstrates happiness and hope for the future. We’re really keen for The Wishing Tree to be a community-led and inclusive art project which shares the hopes and dreams of as many members of the Stockport community as possible.”
