90’s and noughties pop band, S Club Party, are set to headline this year’s Christmas lights switch-on at Merseyway Shopping Centre in Stockport.


The countdown to Christmas begins next month on Wednesday 15th November. Fans of the ‘Reach’ singing trio will be offered the chance to win exclusive VIP meet and greet tickets for the evening in a competition across Merseyway Shopping Centre’s social media channels on the run-up to the event.


S Club Party will be joined by performers including former X Factor and recent Big Brother star Amelia Lily, X Factor star Lucy Spraggan, swinging sensation Alexander Stewart and soulful singer/songwriter Ewan Sim.


The family-friendly show will also feature an appearance from Stockport Plaza’s Christmas pantomime stars, whilst Frozen’s Anna and Elsa will be getting the crowds into the festive spirit, performed by The Snowflake Sisters.


Kicking off at 3.30pm, shoppers and residents can enjoy performances from local acts Jack Woodward, Scarlett Quigley and acoustic performer Roy Bennett, raising anticipation for S Club Party’s big performance at 6.35pm.
